End of the WW2 Campaign

Added by The BP Team

Well what a weekend to bring down the curtain on the WW2 Campaign!!

I will not bore every one with big speeches on how it all panned out because if you were there then you know. All I will say is that from a game organizers POV it was an absolute pleasure to host the weekend long event because as been mentioned several times the sheer scale of sportsmanship and camaraderie shown by ALL attendees/players I can honestly say was second to none. Marshalling the Bunker isn’t the easiest of jobs but because there was no other issues to be concerned with (bonus balling/wiping) the guys could just do there job and get the ‘dead’ to safety!!

Well done to DDR400 for collecting the ‘player of the day’ award and also congrats to Yorky on scooping the ‘player of the campaign’ award.

The thank yous…

UCZ The Bunker, for the rental of the site for the weekend and the top food laid on.
Kiss and Bake-Up, mmm cakes… nuff said!
Pyro-Therapy, for literally raising the roof and genuinely proving that when done properly and professionally, in game pyrotechnics really do add so much more!!!
Bra_Newbs Photography, Andy and Neal were in the thick of it as if they were playing; simply the best at making you guys look good in game, glad to have them at all BP events!
Going Postal and Mr Swiss, some of the best marshalling witnessed to date… outstanding!

And finally…

Kudos to all of you guys that made it down to our part of the world after an horrendous week of weather, look forward to seeing you again in 2011!!

So the Axis forces clinched victory in the deciding game after the campaign was tied at 2 games apiece!!

Will there be another WW2 campaign for the Allies to exact revenge… just maybe ;-)

Kent Rangers Team Day

Added by The BP Team

The day took on the scenario of ‘Metz 1944’ designed by team captain Woody. The scenario was a little more complex than anything played at the Bunker previously but worked really well and similar games are already planned for the future. Normally all the games are pre-planned in advance, however for this event, the games followed on from one another so no-one knew what game would be played next until the current game had finished and the score’s etc had been calculated. It made things a little trickier for the players as well as the marshals but all that was needed between games was a good 5 minute brief and everyone then knew how things were to play out. Grats go to SNR for running the day!! :)

With the Allies and AXIS teams both on 9 points going into the last game, the Americans just had that little more in the tank and ran out worthy winners!! Well done.

As was mentioned on the day, the fires fights indoors and out were up close and intense! The sheer volume of pyro used by 40 people was insane and made for a loud day all round…and I won't even mention the hot weather and humidity levels.

Kent Rangers, Demon Paintball and all of the other guests that played a blinder… awesome weekend from start to finish. Already looking forward to doing it all over again especially with the new ‘sugar rush’ that is… Kiss and Bake Up. Expect to see them at a lot more events from now on…

The chaos jungle aftermath

Added by The BP Team

Well, the dust has now well and truly settled on some epic closely fought battles!

The forces of CHAOS did in the end claim victory over the IMPERIAL GUARD who gave it their best throughout the day. Hope you all enjoyed the smaller 3rd team of NECRONS too!

Firstly thanks go to Spoony, Titch1987 and also martello. you all led your respected teams from the front and all reacted well to a few of the curve balls thrown in throughout the course of the day. then come thanks to Syd, Neil and the catering unit of UCZ Newton Abbot. the site played excellent all weekend, the air was constant all day and the grub laid on at lunch time was top notch and as been mentioned elsewhere, the queue’s where minimal at all times.

I think everyone will be in agreement that the medic and marshalling roles provided by GOING POSTAL were to their now renowned excellent standards. marshal’s always being in the thick of the action and the medic’s on each team exactly where they were required to be!

Mr Wickham from SHORELINE provided some absolutely massive in game booms. all of them happening in and around the players giving them the maximum benefits from the effects. (the water lift at the end by the bridge was my fav) Bra_Newbs was on the spot and upto his usual awesome high standard of work. like players, air and paintballs, this guy is now a necessity to events. especially if you want it covered right. Cheers bro!!! ;)

Lastly… making their debut at a scenario game were DEMON PAINTBALL. for those of you there at the weekend, you saw how good and professional their set-up was and the service which was provided. without a shadow of a doubt, we will be seeing these boys at more and more events. much thanks for the prizes donated.

The weather was great and the play was as just as intense as the heat… if not hotter!

Thank you all for making the trip down and we’ll see you soon!

Looking towards 2010...

Added by The BP Team

An absolutely great days ballin’ to round off 2009. Was a good old fashioned 2 team intense tear up and all that can be said is Santa saved Xmas once again. There are some pics of this and also from Winter Assault now up in the gallery.

Once again 2009 has been a hectic year on the UKsceanrio scene so can i just take this opportunity to thank all of you who have made the effort to attend any of the events ran by Bunker-Productions. Hope you all had a great festive season and best wishes for 2010!!

Here is just a quick heads up of the already planned events for the new year…

April 11th: ‘CHAOS JUNGLE’ @ UCZ Newton Abbot

This is planned to be BP’s biggest woodland event to date, being jointly run with Syd, owner of UCZ Newton Abbot and organiser of many of the tournament events that take place across the south of the UK.

Full details for this event shall be announced very soon.

December 4th/5th: ‘DOWNFALL’ @ UCZ The Bunker

With the Bunker Assault series of games taking a year off this is currently the only planned scenario event taking place at the Bunker in ‘10. It is the 4th game in a 4 game WW2 series spanning the whole of 2010 being jointly run by BP, SHORELINE and the Scottish Adventure centre. The only info you’ll get on this at the moment is that it will be a limited paint event starting on the Saturday afternoon/evening and then concluding on the Sunday. SPACES WILL BE VERY LIMITED!!!

Dates and locations are TBC…

MILSIM: Due to local demand i will be looking to run an evening/night milsim game. This will be a good opportunity to do some games with limited paint, hostage rescue, med-evac etc etc.

WALKON: Negotiations are currently underway and I will hopefully soon have some more details of where and when this will be happening. If all goes well it will be taking place at a site in the SW which I am yet to have run an event at.

PUMPS & PISTOL GAMES: Just like 2009 we shall again cater events to go back to the old skool. Very laid back games as always with the chance for a takeaway once we are done.

Winter Assault Aftermath!

Added by The BP Team

Well what a weekend!! A very well balanced and evenly contested event which saw the brutal Orks (yellow) team clinch victory literally by the skin of their teeth. After absolutely dominating the morning’s games, the Orky boys began to falter as the afternoon progressed and the ImpGuard (blue) team began to build up a head of steam. As with all events run by BP we try to give you something a little different so that no two games are the same. Although some of the briefs were a little bit more in depth than normal, as soon as the first shots were fired they all panned out just as we had planned. Back in September we gave you the triangle games with 3 teams and the new structure around Door 3, this past weekend we gave you the roof of Building 2!! Here on known as 'RONIN Roof', it looked like you guys enjoyed the sniping and the flash-bang antics up there.

Well done and a big pat on the back to you all for the mannerism and sportsmanlike way you all carried yourselves with when you consider some of the CQB that took place, for myself and the marshals it really was a pleasure to watch!! And yes ‘The Boy still is a h**o!!!!’

This was the closing event at the Bunker for 2009 and once again big thanks go out to Jackie and Nigel of UCZ Paintball Parks, not only for use of the facility but also the cracking xmas spread that was put on at lunch time. The air system provided by Syd, was again flawless; no queues and constant quality fills all day long!! Lastly thanks go to James from Enola Gaye, for making the trip down and providing the goodies to keep you guys on the field all day. It was a little bit LOUD in there!!

Look forward to seeing those of you that will be at the SANTA V GRINCH game at UCZ Newton Abbot on the 27th December. This will be the 2nd time that Bunker-Productions and Syd have got their heads together for a scenario event. This will be festive affair with plenty of things to keep you in the spirit of xmas. It will also be a great warm-up for those of you playing to scope out the site in preparation for the planned ‘CHAOS JUNGLE’ scenario event happening there in April 2010, but for now click here for the details of the SANTA V GRINCH game.

Not long to go...

Added by The BP Team

With only 3 weeks remaining until the Winter Assault scenario event I thought it is about time I give you guys some more info.

As you should already be aware, there is no play planned for Saturday 5th December. The site is open to enable you to get yourselves ready for an early start on the Sunday. Once you have registered and had your bottles checked, you will be able to get your verified chrono check done and also pre-walk the site. I recommend this as there are lots of changes since your last visit. Game briefs for the Sunday will also be on display so it will be a good chance for you to have a looksy and see what we have install for you. Enola Gaye will also be present on Saturday afternoon for all your paint and pyro goodies. If there is something specific you require it may be a good idea to get in touch with James @ Enola Gaye beforehand and let him know what you require!! Other than that guys, the Bunker will be closed at 1800 and it’ll be off to a local establishment for beers and refreshment.

Bunker will re-open at 0600 on Sunday 6th and we will start as soon as we are ready!!!!

See you there :)

LIMITED PAINT RULE: The Sunday games will adhere to a strict rule of players being limited to how much paint they can carry for each game. A full hopper to start and ‘one’ extra pod should be ample for the games we have planned for you. Please be aware that there will be no exceptions come game day. The games are designed to suit this style of play and will make you think a hell of a lot more before you shoot. Adhere to the rules or you will not play.

Latest walk-on

Added by The BP Team

Big thanks to all the guys who made the journey down the last weekend. The new things we tried in building 2 and the use of door 3 seemed to work very well and the feedback on the day was pretty good. The sportsmanship and fair play shown by all parties involved was second to none and made for an easy day for the marshalls.

Rest assured the next time you make it down to the bunker things will have changed even more so. Look forward to seeing you then!

Bone Collectors team day

Added by The BP Team

Huge thanks go to all of the members and friends of the ‘Bone Collectors’ who hired the Bunker this past Saturday. All that attended where on site bright and early at 9am and then played right through until just before 4pm. The day started with a mixture of the usual format of games at the Bunker and then as the day progressed some of the games played were what had been thought up by Matzy and Tim. All in all a great day and we hope to see you all down here again soon!

The Bone Collectors are based out of Somerset and although fairly new to the scenario scene they are chalking up a pretty good attendance of games during 2009 including NvS, ARMO4 and SATR! They are also part of the makeup that is the ‘Nemesis Alliance’ so look out for the ever more familiar black and bright green at future events!

Here is a list that is very well put together by Matzy of the BC’s, it is a list of many of the UK’s best paintball shops including feedback on the service provided!! Good work fella… UK Shops List as put together by Matzy.

Next Walk-on at the bunker

Added by The BP Team

We are pleased to announce our next walkon at the BUNKER! The date has been set for Sunday 27th September.

The ‘green fee’ for the day is £30 and there will be paint available on the day should it be required or you can BYO (please let us know in advance if you require any).

Air fills will be to 3000psi with limited CO2 available (pls PM me if you require it).

Format for the day will be 2 teams playing, quick, fast paced, scenario orientated missions making use of both buildings (depending on numbers, we may try a new format where by we have 3 teams playing at the same time).

Doors shall be open from 8am! We will look to start at around 9.30am and then run on until we have had enough.

Please contact me if you are interested in attending so we can gauge numbers for the day!!

We look forward to seeing those of you that can make it!

Local site break in!!!

Added by The BP Team

Sometime during the 10th/11th June, Paintball Polson nr Launceston was broken into! A hell of a lot of stuff has gone walkies...somewhere in the region of £14k worth!!! A wide range of kit was taken including, dive bottles, masks and paint. The haul however included several Tippmann, Smart Parts, BT and other such scenario markers. Most were heavily upgraded hence these are what should be pretty easy to spot should they be used at any events locally. Please if you have any information regarding this could you contact the number below...

Please call 08452 777 444, quoting BL/09/50.

NiTF Team Day!!!

Added by The BP Team

Big thanks go out to all the members and guests of team ‘Not in the Face’ who took part in the first ‘team’ day at the Bunker. The NiTF guys and girls hired the site this past Saturday and played solidly from 2pm until just about 9pm. The games played were a mix of those CQB we offer at all times and also several thought up by NiTF themselves. This made for a mixed experience which we hope you all thoroughly enjoyed. Once the games came to an end, a large chinese and pizza’s were delivered to the site which were enjoyed with a beer or two. At about 1am it all came to a close and most retired to their tents! Many Happy returns go to Brogan who celebrated his birthday at this!

Do you or your team fancy hiring the Bunker for the day, evening, night or weekend??? Please email thebunker@live.com for more details. Let us know what you require and I’m sure we will be able to cater it for you.
